Villa Maroc has been open since 1990. This “hotel de charme” or “Boutique Hotel” is the first hotel of this kind in Morocco. Situated just inside the ramparts of the old Medina and only two minutes from the sea, these four 18th Century houses have been connected and restored in Arabo-Andalusian style in keeping with the traditions of Essaouira. Villa Maroc reflect the architecture and colors of Essaouira: Blue and white paintwork and the aesthetics of comfort and simplicity. It has been furnished and decorated with style and taste using local artisans, antiques and paintings of both local and international artists. By combining the four houses, it has retained the atmosphere of a large private house, where clients do not get the feeling of being in a hotel. The twenty rooms are all decorated in an individual style.
Our Oriental Spa provide to our clients with even more comfort and services, including a hammam, massages and beauty parlour. Our aim is to offer to our clientele a welcome change of surroundings as well as a stress-free and relaxing holiday.
Breakfast can be taken on our roof terrace overlooking the picturesque port and magnificent bay. Many of our clients find themselves a secluded corner on the terrace to bask in the sun, read or just enjoy the view.
Villa Maroc has several comfortable and cosy lounges, some with open fire places where one can sit and read, have a drink, or enjoy a candle lit dinner.
We serve traditional Moroccan cuisine, just like the women of Essaouira make at home with devotion and care. Since the menu change daily, our food is freshly made, healthy and well balanced.
We offer a complete hotel service and we will be glad to organise transfers and excursions. |
